NOW AND NOT YET
“Now and Not Yet” reveals when something is both fully realized and still in process. It's being hungry and full at the same time. It's new life sandwiched between a war and a marriage. War, allowing things to die, marriage, bringing things to life. At once, it's proclamatory and satisfied with longing, heartbreak and suffering. It's the story of a bride caught in battle, her weapon, the daily ritual of emptying and waiting to be filled by someone greater than herself. Each day she's hopeful she'll be filled a little more, gaining territory until she passes over the threshold into the infinite where she'll finally be liberated through being completely full of the other's presence. This work takes a deeper look into ritual and narrative.
